Self Improvement Saved My Life

These are the people who taught me the most and helped turn my life around.

When I really started to improve my life, one person that I listened to who helped a lot was Grant Mitt.

The first step that most need to take is this, drop your friends, Grant Mitt says this much better than me though: “it’s better to have no influences in life than to have bad ones” and around this time was when I had 1 friend. Because I had dropped all the shitty ones.

I remember I would just go to my classes, listen to podcasts about business and self improvement and then go home. No one had the same goals as me so I just kept to myself.

And even though I always saw myself as a business owner and someone very successful. I couldn’t become it because the people around me were holding me back and conditioning me to become like them. And when I got away from all the people who didn’t have the same goals as me is when I was able to start my business and really start bettering my life.

Save yourself from being like those around you and drop your friends. Unless of course they’re actually good people.

Another person that I started listening to around this time (grade 11 spring) was Hamza Ahmed. And he’s actually the reason I started posting on Youtube.

But he taught me the importance of just doing the things you needed to do and eliminate the excuses. Essentially discipline. And one of the things Hamza says all the time is “do the hard work especially when you don’t feel like it.” And the main thing of his that really helps me is that when you don’t do the shit you need to do, you’re a pussy. Because you need to hold yourself to the highest personal degree.

You need to what needs to be done in order to hit your goals, as well as hold yourself accountable. That’s also something that Andrew Tate preaches. But he helped me in a different way, and that was by helping start my business. Kinda around the Grant Mitt era.

Andrew especially helped with the business part. And honestly, the most important part about business is literally just starting and then selling your offer. Nothing else matters in the beginning besides getting money in the bank. Forget the legal stuff, logo, etc. Just focus on getting people to buy.

Now he talks about a lot more than just business but that’s the main thing he helped me with. And with what you sell, you don’t need to be a revolutionary to make money. You can do it with a boring or basic business. Like I did. The main reason is that they are firstly already proven, as well as they are more needed than a tech wifi space company, or another drug company.

With starting, you also need to be ok with it being hard. In every super hero movie the super hero goes through so much shit to become who he is. Like Batman, Ironman, etc. So view yourself as the main character in a movie, “my life is going to suck before I become something great.”

So if you wanna get anywhere with business, it starts with starting, as well as being longterm focused.

Similar to Tate and with all of these is doubt. Or thoughts of uncertainty and fear of taking action, because there’s a chance the goal wont be hit. And someone who helped clear my head from all the doubt is Alex Hormozi. And he has an amazing story to prove this, which was getting hit with L after L, being scammed, L, etc.

Something that helps him with not quitting is seeing failure as learning instead. Because if he never got scammed by the biggest red flag in the world, it would have honestly maybe held him back in the long run by giving him less realization of the real world.

You need to analyze, one of the biggest mistakes I made in my business was my first year in business and my goal was of course to make a lot of money. And I thought that the more salesmen I had, the more money I’d make. So I was just hiring anyone who could and would do the work but the thing is that it caused so much more headache as well when you focus on quantity over quality, it takes a toll on your business.

I had too many people who were lazy, disrespectful, or even just stupid so that took up a lot of time and brain power. So this year I had at my height 8 employees and then downsized to 5 and we made more money than last year as well my quality of life went way up.

And something that’s universal between everyone but that Alex hits on the head is that success is a long term game. Too many people want success without doing what it takes.

I promise you’ll not only get further if you know that it takes long to achieve greatness and knowing the grind is also extremely hard if you wanna make it.

To recap the lessons from those who helped me the most in bettering my life are:

  • Grant Mitt — It’s better to have no influence than bad influence

  • Hamza Ahmed — Do the hard work even when you don’t feel like it

  • Andrew Tate — Start grow, and be stoic

  • Alex Hormozi — You never lose unless you quit

This is essentially the main people and their lessons who helped me get to where I am today, and hopefully this can help you as well.

Thank you for reading, enjoy your day:)
