Principles That Helped Me Hit My First $100,000 In Business

And what I'd prioritize if I started from zero.

Most people will never scale a business to $100,000. I have, I don’t say that to brag but more importantly I know how I did it and what contributed the most, these are the exact steps I took to get to that big 6 figure mark.

I’m gonna assume you’re already in business for yourself or are doing something where you have a lot of control over what goes on. If you don’t, watch this video.

My business is a home service business and mainly Window Cleaning got me to this number. But you can do it with any other business too, as long as you put in the time, work and truly want the rewards. I truly believe this, if I did any other business model I’d be at the same place as I am today.

So don’t get thoughts that “oh my business model is why I’m not making money.” Because it’s more than just the business, it comes down to you, your habits, and how much you really want the life.

In my business the main factor that played the biggest role in my personal success and the business’s was people. Hiring people is the greatest investment I’ve ever made.

Not just hiring anyone though. Specifically I’ve always just worked with and hired friends, and friends of friends. Because realistically if you can’t work with, be productive or make money with your friends, you probably aren’t really friends, or shouldn’t be. It’s a useless friendship in my opinion.

The most important part of hiring is making sure that they have good work to do. Because if you hire someone and they have no important work and/or can’t make enough money doing it, you shouldn’t hire them and they shouldn’t work with you, yet.

I understand that not every business needs hires but when you can afford it, do it and outsource, anything from creativity to labour. Because it will result in you making more money, just by freeing you up a little it gives that much more time and energy to put elsewhere.

It’s a risky play if you don’t do it right but as long as you can just make sure that the work they do is important and it can benefit them as well, it will work out.

And you will learn about hiring and essentially everything in terms of business while doing it, but you’re gonna wanna try and do that before you even get to it.

Learning from others mistakes, videos, podcasts, etc is what allowed me to go from starting in business all the way to today.

Books, videos, podcasts, mentors is what makes the difference between a millionaire at 25 and a millionaire at 50. You can definitely make it on your own but do you really wanna be alone throughout the entire journey as well as prolong the process by at least 2x the time?

For me the answer is no.

And this is something I need to get a bit more into again, I haven’t stopped learning but I did take a step back from reading mainly because of just my work load.

Before I knew what business to do or start, I locked myself in my room for basically 8 months and just read books like, ‘48 laws of power,’ ‘how to win friends and influence,’ ‘10x rule,’ etc This is what got me my start, and eventually to where I am today.

If you aren’t dedicating a good amount of your time and money into learning you are really slowing yourself down and bringing your chances of success closer to where you were when you first wanted to make lots of money, whether thats a middle class life with nothing special to your name or even living in poverty.

A quick actionable step that I really think would benefit you and that I’ll do as well, is either pick out a book you have (or buy one if you don’t have one) and set a 5 minute timer to read that book before you sleep tonight, and for the next 1 week.

Regardless of who you are, you have 5 minutes before you go to bed, or worst case go to sleep 5 mins later.

The beauty of reading and specifically making it a habit is that you really improve your focus. And I’m sure you’re more than familiar with this, but focus is the difference between the guy who wants money and the guy who’s getting money.

I don’t know about you but whenever I see someone talking about wanting wealth but then also seeing them procrastinating the work they need to do, I just know they won’t make it work. Because they have a major focus problem.

Just solving that is entry level focus though, when you start climbing the ladder of personal development and business, you’ll find that some people are going multiple hours doing work, and some people even do that multiple times a day.

It’s pretty hard to go from where most are today to that extreme level of focus, because today our focus is really messed up from all this meaningless brain rot and scrolling garbage. And it can be hard to snap out of it and re-align yourself to a better way of life.

I wanna give 2 really big “life hacks” that have helped a lot with me being able to focus for up to 10 hours a day when I’m working on my business.

  1. Doing something outside of your home/ comfort zone

  2. Doing something that’s Very ambitious

When I work, my work is mainly outside, so whenever I’m outside and also around my friends I’m instantly locked into the work and also because I can’t lay down or really stop working. Now of course I do still do computer work at home.

What I did a while ago and that you can do too if you’re work is mainly from home or your bedroom, is just move to a different room or re-arrange your entire setup.

We’ve all heard the story of the heroin addicted soldiers in Vietnam, but after they returned to their homes in America (a new setting) they all stoped doing it.

The important thing in this scenario is, right after you make the change to your work environment, if you just push yourself to have the most perfect work day maybe 3 days in a row, it’s gonna be so easy to just always do that next time you get ready to work.

I hope that makes sense but it’s essentially what helped me the most.

The 2nd one is doing something that’s ambitious. For me when I set a goal that I really wanna achieve and thats honestly a bit out of reach for me, it makes me more excited to do the work I need to. I think you can probably relate with me on that too.

So that’s what I do, I set high goals for myself in my business. Not only will this help you a lot with sparking that light but it can also help you with Re-sparking your flame.

If you wanna know how to do this more in depth, watch this video because it’s literally exactly what I did it as well as committed myself to my goals.

I’ll make this final point short, because if I don’t it’ll probably take some meaning away from it.

When you focus on trying to become someone who’s worthy of having the life you want, the results feel like they come to you.

You change your prospective from chasing, to attracting.

Take a second and think, “what do I want,” think about your goals. Now think about someone that you know who has achieved those goals. Or think about what that person would be like; their actions, beliefs, the way they talk, how they work, etc.

Now take a minute and think about how you can start acting like that, taking those actions, behaving like that and feeling the achievement of the goals.

Let me know if you’d like a video just dedicated to this, because it’s powerful when you get to a point like this.

Hopefully everything else in the video was also able to help you as well.

  • Find a business

  • Hire

  • Learn

  • Focus

  • Become the person worthy of having what you want.

That’s essentially how I went from starting my business to growing it to $100k in revenue by the second year at 18.

Thank you for reading, enjoy the rest of your day:)
