Not Caring About Money Made Me Rich
Money is Not what I do this for but I know it will come as a result.
Not Caring About Money Made Me A Top 1% Earner
How it came to Life
This is will sound crazy if it’s your first time being told. I didn’t believe it when I first heard it and I just disregarded it as some moron with a microphone. It slipped my mind for the next months. I’ll share my story and the essential that lead to getting the income.
During these months I was chasing money, starting businesses that I knew I didn’t care for in the longterm let alone the moment. It wasn’t until the summer of that year where I got tired of being a failure of a boss, so I hunted for a job. I landed something in sales. My goal and mental going into the job was “I don’t care if I make anything in here, as long as I learn how to sell and deliver, I won.”
After a successful summer and a good amount learning both disciplinary and mentally the end result was something to proud of. When school started once again in September a new season of learning fell upon. The time was spent learning more about sales, psychology, leadership and above all devoting myself to a goal.
There were many goals but the one referring to the title was starting another business, one with employees, a full sales team, having a customer base that was happy with the value exchange, and being someone looked up to, and respected by the team I built.
Long story short the goal was achieved and during the time that the focus was on everything that was important and not money, was the time I made more money than imaginable at the current level of life.
The Mental I Have and Applied at the Time
I’m sure you already got what the essence of the story was. The goal was the forefront, and as a result of the work we did, money came in as an accompanying attribute. At no point during my journey did I ‘despise’ money or not want it, very much the opposite, the one thing done was that money wasn’t the main focus.
It’s hard not to prioritize money, especially if you have responsibilities, people, etc to take care of. The way I went about it was, I built my business on the side and when summer came I essentially went ‘balls to the walls.’ Don’t put money off, but get what you need and spend the rest of your time building something goal oriented or apart of your purpose. And as a result of the work done and value given money will come to you (and team if you have.)
You shouldn’t put a purely human perceived version of value (money) at the core of what your life’s purpose is.
