Make This The Best Year Of Your Life
What should you focus on?
Do you have a goal you want to hit?
Because there’s 3 things you should focus on to make your main goal. Your main goal also probably revolves around one of these 3, which isn’t a big deal if it does, mine does too.
The first we all deal with in life is money, since we all need it and use it, it only makes sense to structure our life to a point where we don’t worry about while having it and gaining more of it.
So how do you grow it? There’s 2 paths, either you become and entrepreneur or an ‘intrapreneur’. We’ve all heard of the first but what is an intrapreneur? It’s someone who works in a company but has the mindset of what an entrepreneur has towards his. Or a really good and high paid employee.
In a lot of cases it’s smarter to be an intrapreneur because you don’t deal with any of the business rock bottoms. You should either ask for a higher salary/postion or go into sales to make more..
Or you become an entrepreneur and start a business. What do I start? Start something revolving around service because it’s essentially free to start.
You also need to be aware of your mental health. There’s 3 types of people, those who care too much about it, those who care 0 about it and those in the middle, that’s where I am. You shouldn’t let your emotions control you or dictate your actions but you shouldn’t throw them out. There’s a fair balance.
When something happens and you feel a certain way, dive deeper into the emotion and see why you feel like that. The only way to fix something is by inspecting it. Another way of saying it is be a stoic.
Your physical health will always be a big aspect of your life, it will either make your life more enjoyable or it’ll give you a wake up call. There’s more millionaires than people with abs, I heard that on a podcast and it’s nuts. It’s to a point where your body and health is more valuable than money, because without health you really have nothing. And your outside is a representation of your inside.
I’d start out by only focusing on diet for the first few months or only working out. Don’t overwhelm yourself, and for working out and eating, pick something that you like. If you don’t like keto, do something else regardless of what others say, if you don’t like weights, do sports. But do what makes you happy and excited to actually perform.
And the most important focus should be your main goal, which again is most likely improving one of these. But the thing that will let you actually accomplish your goal is giving it meaning and value.
If you want to workout to look nice to others you’ll give up fairly quick because it has no meaning to you. If you wanted to make loads of money to build a nicer life for your family, now you have more fuel to go forward.
Quick tip, make your goal selfish. The brain is just more focused on itself so you’re more likely to achieve something for yourself over a family member or friend.
But how do you make it meaningful or even selfish? What is the thing you enjoy most? For me it’s teaching and leading a team. That’s why I went into business and teaching what I know on youtube, writing, and my online community.
But find a skill or activity you like and look into different outlets of expressing it. Find a type of activity you enjoy and incorporate into your life. If you focus on the journey you’ll keep hitting new and better destinations.
