How To Build Your Self Image/ego
Viewing yourself a certain way is the greatest form of discipline.
It’s how you end each day proud of yourself.
And you’ll consistently continue to grow in life when most stop after 20.
Now to build, you must destroy what’s blocking the foundation.
If you wanna be a millionaire, you won’t get there by spending on stupid stuff.
If you wanna take your religion serious, you won’t get there by spending time with degenerates.
Building a self image that translates into action, and a way of living comes from your current actions, even if they’re unproductive actions.
The goal is to slowly shift it.
What I did when I first started to really change my life was cut out what kept me away from my goals and building my self image.
You cannot create without something visible/tangible.
So to create the best version of yourself, it must be done through action. And the first action I’d recommend is eliminating anything bad.
For me it unfortunately started with my friends, they were all great people and fun to be around.
Sometimes you just need to drop those on a different path that can’t help you.
There was also video games, scrolling, and unnecessary time wasters.
Because if you keep these around, then how are you even going to start clearly realizing what you want?
Keeping people, actions, and habits that are detrimental to you will stop you from ascending.
Once I cleared the area to build the foundation to my best self portrait was adding obvious good habits. I did this via scheduling.
Building a schedule is the ultimate cheat to discipline. After you do something at the same time everyday it becomes habit over discipline.
What I added and would recommend you to add is these 3.
Reading, get physical books or get a kindle, having something you can hold makes it so much more enjoyable too. Then read 30 mins before you go to sleep.
This way you always are able to make room for it, and subconsciously you start going to bed earlier too, at least it helped me too.
Exercise. A great body is a great mind. The easiest way is just going to the gym, doing workouts at home, sports, and outdoor activities.
I’ve been in the gym since grade 10, I don’t have much to show for it, but it’s always been an amazing thinking place as well as it makes you feel better at the end of the day.
Recently I started jiu jitsu as well because I know it will help with building my best self.
Lastly and I’d say most importantly is money. The major reason for divorce, stress, lack of sleep and lower confidence all comes from not having enough money.
As soon as you can you need to start building something for yourself that can produce wealth. Whether it’s yours or not.
A business can be great, so can working with a business owner directly and learning skills to then use later in your career.
Generating income as well as learning a money earning skill is the only way to make sure you live a g life.
No one wants to worry about whether they can afford something or not, if they can live a prosperous life, or if they’ll get be left behind.
My approach to this was learning sales then starting a business. Now Learning a new skill to then leverage again once I’m good at it.
When you’re actively working toward each of these regardless of your progress, speed, or approach it’ll be impossible to view yourself less low, or think less confident, you’ll also increase your odds of reaching your goals
Hopefully this helps with building your self image.
