How To Be More Disciplined On Your Business's Work

It comes down to these 2 Problems for most.

In this post I’ll show you how I’m able to focus on my work for multiple hours in a row day after day. Whether you have an in person business, or you have an online business this will help you.

Now I’ve realized this comes down to 2 problems.

  1. Focus

  2. Commitment

And these in my opinion are the 2 most fundamental things you need when it comes to getting money.

For when I’m working on the videos, BlueShine or BluePrint, what I do is I set timers for myself. And this is what I do during those work periods. I consciously turn off all thoughts not related to my work.

All I’m thinking about is either ideas, what I’m going to do, or what I’m going to say to the next customer I get to talk too.

It’s like entering a flow state. And what I do to enter these flow states is by doing a habit to trigger myself to enter them.

Hopefully this is making sense so far, one of the things that I do is my brush my beard, I’m not kidding. This also makes my blood flow in my face so it triggers something to my brain essentially telling me, “it’s time to work.”

Another thing I do is take a very deep breath. Air is a beautiful drug and you’ll notice that every time you take multiple deep breaths you feel a little funny so thats something you can try right now and when you next get ready to do some work.

In one of Jordan Belforts books he says that he uses this thing called BomBom which is some type of smelling salt so you can use that, or pinch your arm really hard, do some push ups, yell, etc, there’s so many things you can do to trigger yourself.

And the first time you do any of these and get right into your work, it will condition yourself to always be able to enter that flow state.

And essentially after doing any of these ‘flow state initiators’ you need to just eliminate any thoughts not related to your work and after 21 days your brain will do this for you on auto pilot.

This is not a 1 day fix for people who wanna pretend like they care about their life. But for people who are actually serious about making changes.

When it comes to focus, just eliminate all thoughts un-related to your work. And to make it easy for you to enter this flow, use a trigger, like a habit or a quick thing you can do to condition your mind into knowing “this just happened, that means it’s time to lock in.”

That’s most people’s problem, not being able to focus. But sometimes, especially in the beginning you may have issues with committing yourself to whatever it is that you’re working on.

And this can also be for 2 reasons.

  1. You don’t believe in the business model

  2. You don’t believe in yourself

For the first one it’s easy to doubt the business model when you aren’t getting any results or even just getting small results.

My honest advice for you if you’re struggling with this problem is this.

Nothing will work in the beginning. So you either need to stick it out for some time or maybe even switch what you’re doing.

If you started something new and you haven’t at least made $1k in your first 3 months it’s time to either quit or make some changes.

Because if nothing changes, then nothing will change.

It was like this for me and Youtube at the beginning of this year, I was getting a thousand views a month for like 4 months straight. Because I was doing the same thing over and over, I didn’t change anything or try anything new, therefore nothing changed.

But last month across all the socials we got over 40k views, because I made 2 changes. I started posting daily short form and also took my videos in a too a degree different direction.

The same with my business. The first year, I was barely breaking even, the second year I focused a lot more on my savings and also making sure the team was quality people.

These are the 2 things I didn’t quit or give up on, but instead made changes so I can get better results.

Before I started my main business BlueShine, I had started at least 7 other businesses that I gave up on. A charity business, drop shipping, copy writing and a few more…

I can’t tell you if you should quit or just make big changes. That’s something that you need to decide for yourself because no one, including me, your friends, family, online gurus know what your goals are, or what you want out of life.

Only you can make that decision for yourself. And if you do want any help or advice with that, join our free community and either I or anyone in there can try giving advice to help you make the final decision. Community

And finally if your self doubt is whats stopping you from being able to work, this is my honest advice for you.

I started from zero, our family lost everything in 2020. I stared trying to make money at 14. And it wasn’t until I turned 17 and started my window cleaning business which made $50,000 in revenue before I even entered grade 12. It will take time, and you most likely wont get instant success.

I know I’m not a millionaire or have 100s of thousands to my name. But I’m on the come up and the one thing that let me get those results and scale to over $120,000 in sales at 19 was never giving up.

It’s been said a million times but thats because it’s true. What’s repeated has truth behind it.

And by never giving up, you need to have goals and targets for yourself. Because evolution is inevitable when you’re forced to achieve.

Just so I don’t take up too much more of your time, here is my guide on how I make my goals and how I force myself to achieve them: Goal setting

This took a bit of a more serious turn but I believe that you can make it. There’s so much money in this world, we can all live the lives we want as long as we can stay focused on our work and commit ourselves to it.

Thank you for reading, and have an amazing day:)
