How I Built My 6-Figure Empire At 18
As long as you never give up, you’ll live an amazing life.
I use to be fat, poor, alone, and into some bad things.
And I start with that because you can make it no matter what. I know you see the title. As long as you never give up, you’ll live an amazing life.
Where it all started was when I was 15, living in a horrible home, 0 dollars to my name, and no promising future. If you asked anyone who knew me at that time what I was gonna do later in life, they would say nothing good about me. And now I’m doing better than all of them and even some of their parents.
The goal with this is to tell you my story as well as give you some gems to help you get further than everyone around you.
So the first thing I did pick up a book, and it was on investing, The millionaire teacher. And it was talking about how this regular boring guy was worth and M. And honestly if people like that, and others that we see on social media are making M’s, why can’t we?
It’s a limiting belief, so wipe that out right away if you have that. And my first venture was a $500 advance from family to start investing. And I didn’t do stocks, but I did crypto. And I turned that into $0, but I had a few wins and that was enough to show me that you can make money just by using your head.
The next thing was that I went through a heavy Andrew Tate phase. And that again reinforced that literally anyone can make it as long as you have a longterm thinking process. And one thing that I got from him is that you really need to prioritize learning and setting yourself up. So this was around the end of grade 10, and for the summer I wanted to get a job.
And when I started looking for jobs, I knew that I needed something where I could just learn. So no bs jobs purely just for money, which was also something Tate said. And I got lucky because I got an interview from a hiring agency, and they were doing it for a sales company. A door to door charity company to be more specific. And the reason I got lucky was because I had no experience in anything. All I had was my goal.
But I got the interview and I went in, and they had someone doing the interviews who was new to it, so I got lucky with that too. We got off well, I came in sharp with my suit and watch, clean shaven and I had rehearsed for 2 days straight, just basic interview questions and scenerios. I had written everything down and recorded myself over and over for days. I was going out with this one girl too but I just didn’t show up because literally this was ALL that I cared about— landing this job.
And after the first interview, I got a call back for another one, and I met with the owner of the office and he liked me and I got the job that same day. I was 16 and everyone around me was in their 20s and 30s. All with degrees, and that broke my next limiting belief, you DO NOT need school to be successful. If I can get in a room like that with nothing to my name, I can do anything if I keep this up and stay consistent.
And I got trained and did ok, I wasn’t the best but I learned throughout that entire summer. And at the end before I had to go back for grade 11 I asked that same owner, if he could mentor me, and kinda just push me in the right direction because he was young too and doing very well. And he said I could ask him anything and we’re friends to this day, and you’ll hear more about him because without him, I do not know what I’d be doing today.
But school rolls around and I did not wanna sit on my ass so I wanted to get another job. But my mentor (Nic) talked me out of it. And instead I just saw it as a learning season, not school but business related, sales and just things that would set me up as life goes on. And all I did was just read, listen to podcasts and literally just learn. Half the money I saved up went completely into learning, about 1.5k at the time.
And a bit after that me and Nic talked again. I asked him, “Nic, how can I start making some money or doing something better?” And literally this convo changed my life. He asked me “well what are you good at” I replied, I can sell, I’m a good speaker too, and a people person” And he said how much money do you have, and I had just over 1k. And he recommended to me a basic service. And we kept brain storming, and he says “have you seen those guys on tiktok who clean windows? and it was Oliver and Josh Lester, who I actually got to meet at a party a bit ago which is pretty funny now. But I replied “yea”. And we talked a bit more and it gave me some ideas.
Now I didn’t start that right away, instead I tried to be a lil Nic and do my own charity company. ‘Friendly Pets Foundation’. And my plan was to have little kids getting the donations. So I got my little brother and sister to go out and do d2d and I trained them for a bit and then they got their friends to do it do. And it went ok for a bit, we made some money but one day me and my brother go out to sell and this one lady blew up on us, and I felt on top of the world because we made a few hundred that day. And she called the cops. And funny enough I was actually meant to go on a date with a girl, but I called it off and instead of going on a hike with her I just worked, and that day I got investigated for fraud…
I ended getting away with it because I wasn’t pocketing all the money I was genuinely putting it into charity, but I called it quits after that because the money wasn’t thaaat good and kids are fucking stupid and hard to deal with. Next I tried some bs businesses like dropshipping and the things that pop up when you search up “what business model do I start to be rich.” None of them worked btw.
3 months before the next summer I actually did listen to Nic and I started the window cleaning business. I bought like $100 worth of equipment from Canadian tire. And the week before I asked my best friend if he wanted to clean windows with me and he said “yes”
So I went out to sell and the first day I made $600 in sales. We cleaned, I payed my friend at the time, and I profited $400 that day. The next thing on my mind was now growing a team and making this a proper operation.
And I grew the team, lost a few people and friends (like the one who I started with) and I ran into my first problem, the Canadian tire equipment wouldn’t cut it. So I invested a few G’s and upgraded. And at that summers peak I had a 10 man team and we were bringing in $3-4K a week. And a big thing that I learned with working with people, is that when you hire someone, you work for them, not the other way around.
And there was ups and downs but we finished it with a bit over 50k in revenue. Then grade 12 came, And I was just starting youtube at that time too, so I kept cleaning windows as a one man show for sep-nov. And I hated it, because I had no one else working with me and money is just not a motivator for me. But when winter hit I just went balls to the wall with Youtube and grew it to what it is now.
So don’t just focus on money, because you’ll eventually stop. Find something that you can enjoy and make money around it. For me I love leading a team, so that’s why I did really well.
Then as soon as spring came and the snow left, I got right back into the windows, I got my one friend to start, another one from last year, and we got right back to business. And the thing is that when you do something start to end, you learn. So now I have all the know how from last year and all the mess ups out the way, and we operated weekends only because of school. And at this point, we’re working weekends only we’re doing 3k revenue a week…
So I really got to learn a lot from last year. And the team is now at 7. And it’s not even summer yet so I can’t work as much as I want too yet. And now I just have plans on how I’m going to keep scaling, and I’ll keep letting you know as time goes so you can learn too.
Key take aways that you should have gotten are-
Know that you can make it, anyone can
Forget the money, just focus on learning (especially in the beginning)
Stay focused on your main goal
And keep going up from where you are
That is how I went from a low life nobody to who I am today. Hopefully you got something out of it.
With everything being said, thank you for reading and enjoy your day:)
