I Asked My Mentors For Their Best Business Advice
The advice that's helped me the most in business.
The only reason I am where I am, is because of my mentors and what I’ve learnt from others.
And I wanna share with you the main things from the main people that helped me get to the point I’m at today.
The first person I want you to hear from is my friend Dan Bagniuk, it’s especially funny how we met too, we cleaned his mother in law’s home and we messed up:( so we went back to clean it and he was there, and she introduced us to each other and we enjoyed each others company, later it turned out that he had a fairly successful online business, and a story that helped me was how he got his first custie, so asked if he could help with that for this.
And since you’re reading and not watching a video I’ll summarize what he says.
Always follow up
Put yourself out there
Believe in yourself
Essentially with follow ups, people get busy and forgetful. If you have something you’re selling, you need their attention and the best way is to literally be like “Hey, I’m bumping this up.” And I remember the first time Dan told me this, I used it and I made a quick sale just like that. And now every time I have like 5-10 people who haven’t responded I just text them all and each time I get 1-2 sales. This works, do it.
The next one is to put yourself out there. You’ll never get a chance to get what you want if you don’t put your self out there. This is the same for everyone and especially when you start. You need to start otherwise you will never live the life you want. You need to forget about everyone else and what they’ll say and just do it.
And the last one is to believe in yourself, it’s corny but the corny stuff is always true. And with this one I’d recommend you watch some of his videos because his belief system is incredible, when I talked with him about how he views things and why he’s done some things, you just know that he’s smart and that he’s worked his ass off. But no one will believe in you, that’s your job. And the only thing that kept me going in the early days was imagining myself making my first 10k profit, buying my car and still I have so much that I want to achieve and the only thing pushing me is Me and the goals I have for myself.
So that was Dan, he really opened my eyes, especially when it came to being super successful young, as well as being open minded and knowing that when you do the right work you’ll get to where you wanna be.
The next person is Nic G, the G stands for gangsta. (jk) But he was the first real successful guy I met and he’s the one that I credit all the time for my business success because without him I’d be nowhere near where I am in business, have as much money as I do, and maybe even these videos.
And I’ll again essentially summarize everything he says since you’re reading:)
Servant based leadership
Win Win Scenarios
So he’s given so much advice and I remember when I started my business one of the first things he told me was to servant based leader, so you essentially wanna lead from the front. No one will do what their leader refuses to do. Whereas if your team sees you doing the exact work you expect from them, they are way more likely to do it happily. I’ve never seen a successful person make it without doing any work. But I have seen people who refuse to the work they expect from others fail in business.
And when you’re a leader instead of a boss you just become selfless which is kinda what happened to Nic. He saw that he can make more money when he can make others more money too. What you give is what you’ll get.
When you only focus on making money or winning on your own you don’t give others that chance to win and in that case they’ll just leave you. So you need to focus on how to make others better, creating better environments for them and overall just helping them get where they want to be.
Because when someone else wins because of you, you’ll win too.
So that’s the advice that Dan and Nic are giving us about starting in business and growing in business. So thank you so much Dan, Thank you so much Nic, I’m also gonna make this a series because a few others wanted to help and I don’t wanna overload you with too much info.
One more time, if you can thank them too that’d mean the world to me and them aswell.
So with everything being said, thank you for reading and enjoy your day:)
