3 Mental Frames I Use To Do The Hard Work When I Don't Want Too

Use these when you want to stop pushing or even quit...

The end result is what will make it all worth it in the end…

As some of you, my closest viewers, know I started a new sales job in the winter.

Originally my plan was to just focus on youtube and social media over the winter and then go straight into my seasonal business again. The reason I instead split the focus of the winter from just youtube to also a sales job is because I didn’t want too.

However I knew that this was going to really make a big difference for me in my life. And the first thing I did that helped me commit and do the hard thing I didn’t want too was to think of all the benefits. Write it down too so you can look at when shit Really gets hard.

For me the main benefits of doing the thing I didn’t want too was

  • More Money

Granted the mentorship is making some money and it’s pretty sweet talking with and helping some of your with your start up ideas and even helping some of you with continuing your growth. It doesn’t take up too much time, so with the rest of the time outside of that and the youtube videos I can make extra money to support the business by selling. And since I’m pretty good at sales already I knew I could make some good money with commissions.

  • Improved relations

My mentor Nic owns the business, this was actually the first job I did in high school and fast forward he asked me to help with launching a new team this time around and I agreed, because the more higher up people you know the better. Regardless of how much further ahead of you they are.

Having friends and people like this will help you whenever you need advice, help and even just to help set a new standard for yourself. If all your friends are making 10k a month, how can you not?

Last main reason for me—

  • Learning

By helping with setting up this new team I’m only going to learn more about team building. As well as that, seeing some of their systems has given me a lot of ideas for when we relaunch. And on top of that I’m a very nice and charitable person, so I myself have helped with implementing some of my ideas and systems to their business to overall make more money for all of us.

I’m such a good person, I know.

Jokes aside that’s the first thing that can really help with getting past a hard time. Remembering the reasons for why you’re doing it and being able to remind yourself.

Of course there was a few more reasons but those are smaller and just bonuses, give yourself a few bonuses too, like a runner up for my top 3 was discipline. It’s winter, currently -30c outside…

I fucking hate it. But it’s building the discipline which is overall very important in life.

**Also I really quickly just wanna say, if you’re doing something you hate with no end goal in mind or no real benefit, you should stop. Life isn’t meant to wasted doing shit tasks for low amounts of money with no longterm growth or goal in mind.

The second thing is actually a quote I have for myself.

“Honestly Issa, if you can’t do this, you wont do bigger things in the future.”

I don’t always say this word for word to myself but I always have this belief and along the lines of it in my head. If you’re currently making 2-3k a month but you wanna have an M in your bank in the near future. You’re going to need to be able to tolerate some stress in your life.

That’s all ‘doing hard shit’ is. Handling stress and being able to commit yourself to a period or multiple periods of hard work in your life. If you can’t do this then how can you manage or expect something bigger or better in your life?

No one got rich by “working less” in the beginning, it’s going to be hard until it’s easy. And you can have a different life philosophy, thats ok as long as it’s true to you and your goals. I’m just speaking in terms of myself, what I want, and what I’ve seen.

How I go about this and being committed to these periods is honestly by thinking of my reasons and the end goals that I want.

I’m only gonna be working this job until March, after that it’s back to home cleaning for me so I just have my focus on that, as well as that, try and find some things you currently enjoy about what you’re doing.

Be it your co-workers, the people around you, the money, the experience, etc. If you hate everything and everyone you will only make yourself more miserable.

The last and probably the most meaningful to myself and probably most of you, is making a promise

Either to yourself, God, or someone very close to you. I did all 3, I made a commitment to my Boss/Mentor, Allah, and myself that I would not quit, no matter what, until it’s March.

As of this recording it’s Feb 2nd so only 20 more work days. It doesn’t have to be a time commitment, the reason I did it is because it’s very easy to track. You could make it based on money earned, opportunity based, or even until you make it...

Just whatever is easiest for you and whatever will push you the most.

One final thing I wanna leave you with is this. What would your dream version of yourself do? Quit? Or keep pushing?

This is how I’ve always committed myself to hard things and how I always push till the end for everything I do and I really hope that this post is able to help you out if you’re struggling with a hard moment in your life, be it in school, work, or just figuring it all out.

Thank you for reading and I wish you the best of luck.
